Nightingale House is part of Nightingale Hammerson, an independent charity providing residential, nursing, dementia and palliative care for the Jewish community in London.
Set within a listed former manor house, parts of which are more than 200 years old, the home combines a rich sense of history with an ambition to provide outstanding care for residents now and in the future.
As part of a wider transformation of the ground floor, the Nightingale Hammerson team set out to reimagine the home’s café. The ambition was not simply to refresh an existing room, but to create a welcoming and flexible space where residents, relatives, staff, volunteers and members of the wider community could spend time together.
Edison & Day worked closely with Jenny Pattinson, Chief Executive of Nightingale Hammerson, and the wider project team to help bring that vision to life through a carefully considered furniture and soft furnishings scheme.
