Why the change?
For over a decade, Edison & Day® and Dayex® ran side by side. Although both were managed by the same team and manufactured in the same factories, each had a slightly different focus.

Edison & Day® specialised in large-scale care home refurbishments and new-build projects, offering tailored, made-to-order products with a wide range of custom options.

Dayex® focused on speed — helping care homes quickly refresh a lounge, bedroom, or dining area to minimise disruption and maintain occupancy.
Over time, we found that customers didn’t always understand the difference between the two brands. More importantly, many told us they wanted both speed and customisation - without having to choose between two separate services.
One brand, same commitment
In 2021, we officially brought the two brands together under Edison & Day®.
That change wasn’t just cosmetic - it allowed us to combine the best of both. Today, our entire range is designed and delivered with both design flexibility and efficiency in mind. You won’t see the Dayex® label anymore, but the same commitment to fast delivery runs through everything we do.
What does fast delivery look like now?
We still pride ourselves on getting products to site quickly - often within 5–10 working days, depending on the item and specification.
To make that possible, we’ve refined our manufacturing and logistics processes and reduced the number of stocked fabric options, allowing us to maintain momentum without compromising quality.
