The refurbished café at Nightingale House combines varied seating, tactile fabrics, warm timber finishes and carefully introduced colour to create a space that feels relaxed and individual.

The café forms part of a wider programme of refurbishment across Nightingale House, creating a more welcoming and contemporary environment for residents, families and visitors to enjoy, thus creating "the heart of the home".
Edison & Day worked with Nightingale Hammerson on the furniture scheme for the café, supplying a mix of lounge, dining and occasional pieces alongside carefully selected fabrics and finishes. The variety of seating styles helps break the space into smaller, more relaxed areas, while warm timber tones, soft textures and restrained pattern bring character without making the room feel busy.
The result is a café that feels comfortable, considered and genuinely inviting, while still meeting the practical demands of a busy care environment.
